Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue and Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps were dispatched at 20:54 to the area of I-84 West, prior to Exit 11, following a report by Connecticut State Police that a vehicle had gone down an embankment and the driver was trapped.

Sandy Hook and Hook & Ladder were dispatched to Great Quarter Road at 19:14 for a chimney fire at a residence. The call to dispatch came in from a neighbor, who reported an active chimney fire, with flames visible.

Sandy Hook was dispatched to Berkshire Road near Old Mill Road 5:45 pm, on a report of a one-car motor vehicle accident with injuries. Second Engineer Matt Dobson was first on the scene, and reported a 24-year old woman was still in her vehicle, a Honda Accord.

Sandy Hook and Newtown Ambulance were dispatched to the area of 20 Jeremiah Road a 1300 hours following a reported one-vehicle rollover. Chief Halstead was on scene within five minutes, and reported a pick-up truck had rolled over but that the driver of the vehicle had self-extricated.
